The 2006 Middleware Forum and CAMP (Campus Architectural Middleware Planning) were held 21-23 August 2006 at Macquarie University in Sydney. Presentations from the event are now available by selecting the presentation titles in the program.
Middleware Forum, Monday 21 August
The purpose of the Middleware Forum was to provide a strategy and policy overview of middleware for the research and higher education sector. Presentations and panel sessions by Australian and international speakers addressed:
- The context for middleware in the research and higher education sector
- Australian middleware initiatives
- International middleware perspectives
- Strategies and policies for implementing research middleware technology infrastructure in your own institution
Middleware CAMP, Tuesday 22 August - Wednesday 23 August
The Middleware CAMP (Campus Architectural Middleware Planning) provided a more detailed technology focus on core middleware. CAMPs are an opportunity to learn about implementing core middleware technologies from some of the world's top experts.
The 2006 Middleware Forum and CAMP were sponsored by the Department of Education, Science and Training (DEST).
